About the Author Pamela Kihm

Pamela Kihm began motivating people to choose more healthful ways of moving more than thirty years ago. She was one of the first advocates of low-impact dance-aerobics helping her students reach aerobic levels without causing joint damage. She has a degree in Behavioral Science and since completing the 900+ hour Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education training in 1991 has had a continuous active Feldenkrais practice.

Through her books and in her private practice as a Guild Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner, people learn to move more efficiently with less wear and tear on their bodies. Frequently her clients find that subtle modifications to exercises prescribed by the medical community make those exercises noticeably less painful and markedly more effective.

“After only two sessions with Pamela Kihm, I can walk much better. She’s given me a sense that I can manage my own body in healthy ways and I look forward to continued improvement.”

R.B., PhD.

All of Pamela Kihm’s books are based on the Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education utilizing biomechanics principles of physics and engineering. The “skeletal engineering” you’ll learn in Pamela’s books, through experiments, exercises, and paradigm-shifting information, will help you move more efficiently, more effectively, and more comfortably.

“I was running to the chiropractor, osteopath, and physiotherapist. They were correcting the misalignments, but not teaching me how to avoid them. Now, with this new knowledge, I usually can work them out by myself. Most of all I have become pain free, and have a sense of control over my body.”
